could it be? a mae's munchies™ that isn't from a nyt recipe? say it ain't so! well, it's true. this week, we've made flatbread pizza!
first we made a bunch of vegan garlic naan. it's a really simple recipe from rainbow plant life, and absolutely delicious. the best part is that once you've made the dough, all you have to do is roll out each naan and cook them in a pan for a minute or two each. and once you get it down, you can do a few at once! a must-have with all your curries for sure. and for pizza too, as it turns out!
after that, it's just a matter of piling on toppings, then tossing it in the oven for a few minutes. the one in the picture had mozzarella, a couple scoops of ricotta, and chopped mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions. since the flatbreads are small and cook quickly, there's plenty of opportunity to try different combinations. i'd like to try it with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes next time. oh, and anchovies! mmm... i love anchovies.
