most fridays, i go to my cousin’s place to make dinner and play board games. at first, he would make the dinner while we talked. over time he started asking me to cut some carrots here, peel some potatoes there… and now i do most of the cooking myself! he’s more like my sous chef at this point, nyahaha. he usually picks out the recipes, though.

this week (or i guess last week. whatevs), we made gilgeori toast. it wasn’t too difficult to make! the hardest part was, as usual for me, the chopping. i need to work on my knife skills.

so finally i got to take a bite and let me tell you, this thing is good. like, really good. and it better be, considering that the bread alone was fried in a tablespoon of butter... on each side. then sprinkled with a half teaspoon of sugar on each slice. yup, it’s a heart stopper, but what a way to go! i could eat these all day. very highly recommend, ignoring the nutrition facts.

as for the games, we played the neopets tcg (2003) and typewriter. i’ll probably write about those another time, but for now i’ll just say that i highly recommend typewriter.
